Arabian Coffee (Coffea arabica) is a plant species of the genus Coffea. It is an evergreen globose plant, most popularly known as the Arabian Coffee or Coffee shrub of Arabia. It is a small upright evergreen shrub or small tree mostly grown in tropical climates. It is mainly native to Ethiopia, but it has been cultivated in Arabia for over 1000 years. Plant’s appearance is beautiful and highly suitable for the outdoor garden as well as indoor floors. Leaves of the plants are of dark green color and their appearance is glabrous, glossy, and elliptical in shape. It can get a form of the pleasing green bush of evergreen leaves if pruned properly in time. Its flowers are small and white and flowers are cherries in red color with two coffee seeds in each. This plant can grow up to 80-150 cm high in potts, and 6-15 feet high as a tree. This plant grows well in indirect partial sunlight. It can not tolerate direct sunlight. It requires less frequent watering just to keep the soil dry (not much), and well drained.
