Dietes- African Iris is a flowering, ornamental plant species, best for outdoor gardens as well as indoors. It is well known for beautiful flowers they produce in wite and light cream in colors. The flowers look stunning with a spiral structure formed by six to nine petals, each with markings of yellow or purple patterns central to the axis of each petal leaf. Their leaves are sword-shaped, which grows upright from the short stem near the root and form a structure of spiky green leaves which looks beautiful for indoor use. This plant can reach a height from 2 to 5 feet. This plant prefers bright sunlight to partial shades, frequent watering and well-drained soil with the good amount of moisture. This plant species is native to Eastern Cape in South Africa.
