Stromanthe Triostar

Stromanthe Triostar (The botanical name Stromanthe sanguinea) is tropical plant species, it is highly striking and eye-catching, because of it’s rich and exotic tri-colored foliage of cream, green and pink (often red) colors. Its blade-shaped leaves are structured as fans. The upper side of the leaf is green and cream (or light green or white), diagonally placed, whereas the undersides are burgundy-pink. It can reach 2 to 3 feet in height and 1 to 2 feet across. This wonderful houseplant is well fit to sheltered shade beds or patios. It prefers medium to bright light, but no direct sun. Watering the plant enough to keep the soil with a good amount of moisture. Soil should be well drained and rich. This plant is native to the rain forests of Brazil.
